EDIT: And please don't get me wrong! I love my dog,it's been 16 years after all.And if I ever have to make a decision to put him to sleep I guarantee you that I won't stop crying for months. But understand me as a mother.
Hello dear watchers and guests.
Today's question is...Is it right/fair to euthanize an old dog if it's not ill? The problem is that I'm tired of cleaning after him every day.Like for example, yesterday I fed him,and after 5 minutes he peed all over the hall.I wouldn't be so frustrated if he peed just a bit like he usually does, but this time it was too much.So I was busy cleaning after him,and then he comes over to me and starts to shit.Like, excuse me?!Just imagine that smell in a hallway and kitchen.
And now,let me tell you about my dog. He's a 16 year old mutt,if not older. He's a bit deaf but healthy in general.I only posted a photo of him once because now he's a mess.He never let us cut his fur or give him a bath,so just imagine how he looks. He's not an aggressive dog unless you touch him, that's why we never did anything. When my son started crawling he was ok with him,but once he learned how to walk the dog was trying to attack him several times. And that's what got me worried.I never thought that he could do that to a child.Every time he tried to bite my son I swear I wanted to kill him.Because of that my son can't walk around freely in the hallway or kitchen without me holding him in my hands. The dog doesn't have access to the rest of the flat either. Now,he peed me a river, again. It stinks and it's really hard to clean.
Right now I don't know what to do.Will we be allowed to euthanize him,and is euthanasia the right answer.
